The Unit of Implementing the TB Control Programs (UIP-TB) within the National Penitentiaries Administration (ANP) together with Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation (RAA) organized on September 24th a National Conference of disseminating the reached results in implementing the TB control program in penitentiaries.

The National Conference organized by the National Administration of Penitenciaries in partnership with RAA Foundation established as purpose to approach TB infection in penitenciaries.
The participation of the World Health Organization (WHO)'s representant is a measure of the interest manifested by WHO on the subject of TB in penitenciaries.
At the event were invited to take part managers from all the penitenciaries of Romania, alltogether with coordinators and managers of healh services and departments from the penitenciary system.
On this ocassion, dr Lucia Mihailescu presented a modern and interactive training method for the penitenciary system.
The newly named National NTP Manager, Dr. Elmira Ibraim, has underlined once again the importance of collaboration between the civil and penitenciary TB control systems.
