On October 2nd took place, in Bucharest, at IBIS Hotel- Parliament House a meeting organized by CHPS in partnership with the National Program for TB Control (NTP). The event had, as main purpose, the final analysis for projects developed within the partnership between CHPS and NTP regarding: Operational Researchin TB Control in Romania and Communication for behavior change in TB control in Romania.The meeting represented for Technical County Coordinators of NTP an opportunity to meet the new NTP Country Manager, dr. Elmira Ibraim, and to establish together the priorities of intervention in TB field.

"Marius Nasta" Institute represents a refference medical unit, realizing studies and researches regarding all the problems related to TB and to the anti-TB fight, being a consultative unit for the Ministery of Public Health. The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria provides important financial resources for the development of National Tuberculosis Control Programme with a focus on ensuring high standard treatment and care for patients with MDR-TB.
