Meeting of NGO representatives with the Chamber of Deputties

Under the name and the initiative of the Deputies Chamber of the Romanian Parliament (CDEP) organized yesterday a meeting of the civil society representatives from our country with the deputies and the members of the specialty committee from CDEP.
The opening meeting was conducted by Mrs. Roberta Anastase, General Secretary of CDEP, being followed by parallel theme workshops, grouped by fields of activity:
- Environment, sustainable development, community, economic and urban development, animal protection;
- Social, health, education, youth, culture;
- Justice, human rights, citizen relationship, minorities;
The meeting succeeded to gather a high number of representatives of the non-governmental organizations and other associations that have among the most various objects of activity.
The debated problems underlined once again the need of setting up a real and constructive dialogue between the civil society and deputies, in order to identify corrective solutions.
A special importance was given to the debate on reviewing the legal frame, especially the one related to NGO activity. Other topics approached were the ones related to developing the dialogue tools of the civil society with CDEP, to the amount of the public financing of the services provided by nongovernmental organizations, to priorities of the discussed fields of activity, etc.
At the end of the meeting were drawn the workshops' conclusions and it was signed the Memorandum with civil society.
