New Governmental Decision Regarding Drug Users

The Romanian Government announced passing a Government Decision (GD) regarding the programs and services aimed for the drug users.
This GD nr 1102/2008 represents the approval of the National Program of medical, psychological and social assistance for the drug users, during 2009-2012, having as a main objective the development of the national system of assistance for drug users.
The program is structured on 3 levels, according to the needs identified among the beneficiaries and aims to create a national network of services designed for them.The provisions of the new GD are in complete accordance with the National Anti Drug Strategy 2005-2012, passed by GD 73/2005, chapter II.
The purpose of this governmental strategy is to prevent the drug use among the general population and also to ensure a public services network of drug users' assistance in order to have them medical and psycho-social rehabilitated.
