Event dedicated to the World AIDS Day organized at Iasi

Worldwide, the December 1st symbolizes the fight against one of the most terrible diseases that the human beings have ever faced so far: HIV/AIDS.
Far way of being won, the war between this disease and the modern methods of diagnosis and treatment, yearly engages huge resources both material and human.
The World AIDS Day, this year will also be marked in our country by events that will reunite on the same part of the barricade public institutions and personalities, organizations active in this filed and also representatives of the people living with HIV/AIDS.
This year's manifestations will be carried out in Iasi, under the slogan "Open your heart! I am the same as you!" The event is being initiated by one of the most active organizations in HIV/AIDS, "Close to You" Foundation (ADV).
Therefore, all those who would like to participate to the World AIDS Day are expected on the esplanade of the Pharmacy and Medicine University "Grigore T. Popa" on November 28th , between 13,00-14,00.
With this occasion the organizers proposes to elaborate a human red ribbon, the symbol to fight and solidarity to the HIV people, made of over 1.500 people. In this way it will be marked the 21 years from the first anniversary of the World AIDS Day.In the same time, this initiative is desired to be an expression of the community's and population's awareness on the issues the seropositive people face with, of the support they need, of the solidarity of the community members needed in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
The event is financed by the United Nations National Bureau for HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and by the "Close to you" Foundation through the protected unit Util Deco.
The set up and the activity of the protected unit is the result of the projects financed by Global Fund through The Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation (RAA).
Util Deco represents an important step on the road of social and professional integration of the youngsters living with the HIV infection, its products being appreciated by the beneficiaries.
