Center for Health Policies and Services Launches a New Website Dedicated to TB!

The tuberculosis (TB) and especially its situation in Romania continue to represent one of the most approached topics, both by the medical world and by mass media.
One of the reasons for which the STOP TB Strategy, internationally launched in 2006 by the World Health Organization (WHO) considers that the advocacy, communication and social mobilization (ACSM) stand together as an essential component in improving the TB control and the fight against the discrimination.
It is acknowledged the crucial role that mass media and communication have in promoting some social behaviors, in forming some opinions and attitudes, in involving the community.
Moreover, obtaining the community's support is possible only by starting from a coherent and convincing communication strategy.
This is why we all want mass media to be as well informed as possible and the news regarding TB to be presented in a professional and suggestive manner by the representative of mass media...
As a support for this wish, Center for Health Services and Politics (CHSP) launched a new internet domain dedicated to this issue: http://www.tbnews.ro/!
The project, financed by Global Fund, 6th Round, is meant to elaborate periodical information for journalists and communities, regarding tuberculosis and control measures.
Quarterly, will be distributed a newsletter containing up-to-date information on TB and progresses registered in prevention and control.Structured on sections - for an easy access - the new internet domain can provide news on TB, legislation, national and international resources and guidelines, news, scientific events, etc.
Definitely, the new website will benefit of a high number of visitors, being in this way a contribution to improving the TB prevention and control!
