ARAS - Social Partnership in Promoting the Rights of Vulnerable Peolpe

The Romanian Association Against AIDS (ARAS) organises, from 26th till 28th of April, at Sinaia, the second seminar on the subject of the social partnership for promoting the rights of vulnerable people.
At the first seminar, held at UN House, in December 2007, were invited as guests decision makers from the Capital City, Bucharest. All the participants took part at a mapping activity, in order to identify the available services for comm
ercial sex workers (CSW), injecting drug users, people living with HIV/AIDS, homeless, Rroma from disadvantaged communities, all known as "vulnerable groups", according to the last HIV/AIDS National Strategy.
This second edition (click here to see the meeting agenda) will be dedicated to the common effort to identify the modalities to facilitate the access of CSW and other vulnerable persons to medical and social services.
At this effort will also take part a represent ant of Police, Local Health Authority, Local Council from counties where ARAS implements and develops outreach activities (Braşov, Timiş, Cluj, Arad, Dolj, Constanţa, Neamţ, Iaşi, Bacău, Bucureşti, Ilfov.
The seminar is one of the activities developed within the project "Advocate for You", financed by the Global Fund through Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation.
