Ministry of Public Health promotes a new Order for Approving Technical Norms for 2008's National Health Programs

The Ministry of Public Health (MPH) intends to define and then to pass the Government Decision of national health programs for 2008.
This project - in its preliminary form - had been posted on the institutions' web site in March 10th, on the section "Decisional Transparency ".
Out of the MPH's statements, we detain that the suggestions, observations and amendments to the content of the health programs and the technical application norms, can be made in 10 days starting the moment they had been communicated (March 20th ).
As for the programs and intervention regarding the HIV and TB infections, additional information can be obtained by consulting the annex 2 of this document.
In comparison to the past years' provisions, the new act that regulates the development of the national health programs introduces a different approach on:
HIV:
- Modifications on the procurement and distribution of the medicines necessary for the HIV treatment (both from the territorial centers and from the open-circuit pharmacies);
- Modifications and amendments regarding the system of surveillance and epidemiological, clinical and laboratory report and also the necessary treatment for HIV/AIDS people;
- Facilitation of the access to HIV counseling and testing services of the persons who belong to groups of high risk to HIV/AIDS infection;
TB:
- Modifications and amendments regarding the system of surveillance and the tuberculosis cases report;
- Modification of the specific report indicators;
