Training organized by UNOPA and CENTRAS

The vocational and educational-professional orientation counselling for seropositive youngsters stand as one of the permanent, priority focuses of the organizations member of the UNOPA (National Union of Organizations of People Infected / Affected by HIV/AIDS).
Consecutively, the professional continuous training of the specialists involved in the seropositive youngsters' education and assistance are a priority on the UNOPA agenda.
During July - December 2008, UNOPA, together with CENTRAS, will organize trainings for specialists who work with seropositive youngsters. This series of training sessions carried out under the name of "Techniques and methods of counselling, educational-professional orientation for seropositive youngsters" are part of the project "Psychosocial counselling, educational and professional integration of the seropositive youngsters in Romania", financed within the 6th Round by Global Found.
To facilitate the access of those interested, UNOPA and CENTRAS will organize a training session in 7 regions of the country; each of these training sessions is to be attended by 20 people. The training sessions have a 4 days period and all the costs related to transport, accommodation and meals are on behalf of the organizers.
A necessary condition for the participants is to have been graduated the university in the psychosocial field. A priority in the selection process will be for the specialists who work in institutions and organizations that provide services for seropositive youngsters.
The selection criteria will be established by the organizers so that it would be present as many counties and institutions and organization active in this field. The duty of the participants is to implement the practices learnt in order to ensure the practical continuity in the training process, in the benefit of the seropositive youngsters in Romania.
Another selection criterion will take into consideration the number of the seropositive people registered in a county, compliant with the statistics provided by CNLAS.
According to the number of the selected people and the number of applications, the locations and period will be announced in time for each region.
